About Voice of Ummah

A Different Kind of Quran Academy

We started with a simple question: why should Quran education look the same as it did twenty years ago, when everything we know about learning has improved?

Our Mission

Making Authentic Quran Education More Accessible

Our mission is to make authentic Quran education more engaging, transparent, structured, and accessible for Muslim families around the world.

We believe that technology, when used responsibly and guided by Islamic scholarship, can improve how Quran education is experienced — without compromising its authenticity, dignity, or spiritual depth.

We do not want to replace traditional Quran learning. We want to preserve what is timeless — the teacher-student relationship, authentic recitation, scholarly guidance — and improve how that learning is structured, supported, and delivered.

Our Mission

“Our mission is to make authentic Quran education more engaging, transparent, structured and accessible for Muslim families around the world.”

Our Vision

“To build a trusted global Quran learning institution where Islamic scholarship, qualified teaching and responsible technology work together.”

The Problem We Solve

Why Passive Online Learning Is Not Enough

Many online Quran classes rely almost entirely on a video call and a physical Quran. The teacher and student connect, the student reads, the teacher listens and corrects. This has worked for generations — and it remains valuable.

But research in education tells us clearly: passive listening and repetition alone are not the most effective way for children and young people to learn. Students learn better with structured goals, visual explanations, interactive practice, consistent feedback, and clear progress tracking.

Voice of Ummah was built to bring these proven educational principles into Quran teaching — without removing the teacher, the relationship, or the spiritual heart of the learning.

Our Principles

What We Believe In

Authenticity

Every lesson, tool, and decision is guided by Islamic scholarship and qualified teaching.

Child-Centred Learning

We design every programme around the needs, age, and learning style of the student.

Transparency

Parents deserve to know who is teaching their child and why we make the decisions we do.

Scholarly Integrity

Our curriculum and teaching approach are reviewed and shaped by experienced Islamic scholars.

Teacher Verification

How We Select Our Teachers

Every teacher who teaches through Voice of Ummah is assessed before being accepted onto our platform. We review their educational background, institutional certifications, teaching experience, and approach to working with students.

Teacher profiles include details of their education, certifications, specialisations, and teaching history. Parents can read these profiles before enrolment, and may contact us to ask any questions about a specific teacher.

We do not publish teacher credentials that have not been verified. Where information is pending confirmation, profiles are clearly labelled accordingly.
